Grant program yields $5.52M, 24x return

After helping Colorado organizations raise more than $5.52 million in grant funds, the Consortium’s program to help local governments and nonprofits write grant applications came to a close at the end of 2020.

23 organizations received 30 grants with the aid of the program, at a cost of $213,114. That translates into a 24x return on investment. A total of 78 organizations received assistance applying for grants related to the prevention, treatment, and recovery of substance use disorders and harm reduction.

The program was funded by an allocation from the state legislature and emphasized supporting rural and frontier areas. Whether the program will receive future funding remains to be determined. The Consortium is seeking additional dollars from potential funders to support this successful program. When new funding is acquired, the program will resume.

For more details, read the Consortium’s page about the program, which will be updated as news develops.
